In Gujarat, Kutch district is gearing up for rainwater harvesting in a response to a personal letter received from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, PM had requested all 620 Village Chiefs, Sarpanchs to conserve rainwater during the forthcoming monsoon. The Prime Minister said in his letter that each Village Chief should convene a Gram Sabha to ensure total public participation for devising ways  to collect and retain each drop of rainwater from run off and conserve it. When Suresh G. Chhanga took charge as Sarpanch (the head of a village) of  Kunariya panchayat  in Gujarat, there were many challenges for him to tackle. For example, problems such as lack of public participation at every level, decision-making by limited people in the panchayat, lack of co-ordination among local government officials, problems with drinking water supply, irregular local services by panchayat, unemployment and high drop-out rate of girls from schools were some of the glaring issues. To solve these problems and improve the well-being of its citizens, the Gram Panchayat took up various activities. From January 2017 to May 2019, The 33-year-old created employment opportunities worth approximately Rs 1.2 crore to 552 families under MNREGA scheme. કુનરીયા જૂથ પંચાયત અંને ગ્રામ આરોગ્ય સંજીવની સમિતિ દ્વારા કુનરીયા માં કિશોરીઓને માર્ગદર્શન અપાયુ.   તારીખ ૩/૩/૨૦૨૦ ના રોજ કુનરીયા ગામ માં ૧૦ થી ૧૯  વર્ષ ની કન્યાઓને તરુણાવસ્થા દરમ્યાન આવાના શારીરિક ફેરફારો અગે માર્ગદર્શન અપાયુ. આ પ્રસંગે જીલ્લા ના મુખ્ય જીલ્લા આરોગ્ય  અધિકારીશ્રી  જીલ્લા સમાજ સુરક્ષા અને બાળલગ્ન પ્રતિબંધક અધિકારી શ્રી એ.પી.રોહડિયા સાહેબ તાલુકા આરોગ્ય અધિકારી ડો.મનોજભાઈ પરમાર સાહેબ ગ્રામપંચાયતસભ્યો, વડીલો અને ૧૩૦ જેટલી કિશોરીઓ હાજર રહી હતી.  આ પ્રસંગે જીલ્લા સમાજ સુરક્ષા અધિકારીશ્રી એ બાળકોના અધિકાર અને બાળસુરક્ષા સંબધીત યોજનાઓ થી લોકોને માહિતગાર કર્યા. બાળલગ્ન અધિનિયમ મુજબ બાળલગ્ન કોને કહેવાય અને બાળલગ્ન માં સામેલ લોકોને દંડ અને સજાની જોગવાઈ બાબતે સમજ આપી. આ પ્રસંગે રસોઈ સ્પર્ધાનું આયોજન પણ કરાયું હતું પોષ્ટીક અને સ્વાદિષ્ટ વાનગીઓ બનાવનાર તમામ કિશોરીઓની પ્રસંશનીય રસોઈને બિરદાવી હતી.  જીલ્લા આરોગ્ય અધિકારીશ્રી ડો.પ્રેમકુમાર કન્નરસાહેબે તરુણાવસ્થા ના તબકા તરુણાવસ્થા દરમ્યયાન લેવાની થતી કાળજી આહાર અને વિચાર બાબતે માગઁદશઁન આપ્યું. ઉપરાંત કન્યાઓ આત્મરક્ષણ માટે કરાટે શીખવા પ

રાષ્ટ્રીય કૃમિનાશક દિવસ 27 ફેબ્રુઆરી ના રોજ મનાવાય છે 1 થી 19 ના બધા જ બાળકોને કૃમિનાશક સારવાર આપવામાં આવે છે મુખ્યત્વે કૃમિ બાળકોમાં વધારે જોવા મળે છે એક વર્ષથી વય વટાવ્યા બાદ કોઈપણ વ્યક્તિને કૃમિ થઈ શકે છે કૃમિ થવા પાછળ સ્વચ્છતાનો અભાવ મુખ્ય બાબત છે તો સમયસર સારવાર  કરવામાં ન આવે તો પાચનતંત્ર પર વિપરીત પ્રભાવ પડે છે બાળકોનો વિકાસ અટકી જાય છે અને પાંડુ રોગ થવાની શક્યતાઓ પણ વધી જાય છે કૃમિ નો ઘરેલુ ઉપચાર પણ કરી શકાય લીમડાના પાંદડાને ધોઈ સ્વચ્છ કરી વાટવા બાદ સવારે ખાલી પેટે ખાવાથી અથવા તેને પાણીમાં ભેળવીને પણ પી શકાય. કુનરિયા મા કૃમી નાશક દિવસ ની ઉજવણી ના ભાગ રુપે સ્કૂલ જતા 774 બાળકો 1 થી 5 વરસ ના 361 અને શાળા મા ન જતા 129 બાળકો ને ગોળી ખવડાવી કૃમી નિયંત્રણ ઝુંબેશ મા યોગદાન આપ્યુ.
